The situation suffered by the expedition from Madrid will not have a short-term solution, informs Efe, sources from the club who have been on the plane for two hours. The latest information they have received indicates the closure of the airport’s runways and the use of ice removers for landing.
The most optimistic forecast is that they will stay inside the plane for at least two more hours, and the indignation of the players, the coaching staff and the club staff is irrepressible.
Real Madrid does not understand LaLiga’s request to advance the trip scheduled for Saturday morning until Friday afternoon, with the continuous hours of snow falling on the Spanish capital.
The airport said on social media that “for security reasons, operations were paralyzed until visibility improved.” The expedition from Madrid had to leave at 7.30 pm, local time, to Pamplona, where a heavy snowfall is expected due to storm “Filomena” at game time, which endangers it.
