Whatever the future holds for DC Extended Universe, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg version is unlikely to appear.

shell reports that despite Cyborg once having a cameo for the future Andy Muschietti Flash film with role Ezra Miller, the role has now been drafted and will not be reformed. io9 independently confirmed this with a source close to the project.

The news comes after months of public disputes between Fisher and Warner Bros. regarding allegations of misconduct on the set of Joss Whedon Justice League redistribute. On December 11, WarnerMedia issued a statement stating that its investigation (which began in August 2020) into the events had ended and “remedial action had been taken”. That culminated on December 30 with Fisher presenting an ultimatum or seemingly giving up his superhero role when he posted on Twitter, in part, “I will not participate in any production associated with” DC Films President Walter Hamada.

While Hamada was not working Justice League During the alleged initial events, Fisher claimed to have been an accomplice to this. At the time, Warner Bros. he issued a statement saying in part: “The two spoke earlier when Mr Hamada asked him to reprise his role as Cyborg in Warner Bros. ‘upcoming Flash movie, along with other members of the Justice League. In the July conversation, Mr Fisher recounted his disagreements with the film’s creative team over Cyborg’s portrayal and complained that his suggested script revisions had not been adopted. Mr Hamada explained that creative differences are a normal part of the production process and that the writer / director of a film must ultimately be responsible for these issues. In particular, Mr Hamada also told Mr Fisher that he would raise concerns with WarnerMedia so that they could conduct an investigation. “

Just this week, Warner Bros. renewed the Hamada contract to continue his role at DC Films. In response to the same day’s news, Fisher wrote on Twitter“It simply came to our notice then [Warner Bros.] always forget to mention that Walter Hamada worked directly with Geoff Johns and Toby Emmerich (at Shazam) DURING Justice League redistribute … ”

However, Hamada is running DC Films for the foreseeable future and Fisher says he will not work with DC under Hamada, the team behind flash decided to take out the Cyborg cameo. The cameos from actors Batman Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, as Bruce Wayne, remained and were closed. This means that if there aren’t any big moves from Warner Bros., Fisher’s Cyborg will be seen for the last time in the future. Snyder Cut of Justice League, which will have an extended role for the character. It will be out at the end of this year.
