Random: Nintendo has a problem with the Joy-Con switch and we’re not talking about drift

Over the years since the launch of the Nintendo Switch, we have seen a wide variety of Joy-Con controller variants. With so many colors on the market, you should to be able to find a Joy-Con to express your own individual personality.

However, IGN bigwig Peer Schneider noticed a glaring problem – and no, it has nothing to do with the drifting analog sticks. There are simply too many shades of red in the sale options.

In a recent tweet, Peer shows a photo with Neon Red, Super Mario Odyssey Red, Splatoon pink and Joy-Con bundled with the Mario Red & Blue edition. And we have to admit, he’s right – they are all impressive similarly, with only one very slight difference in hue between them. He also points out that there are colors in the spectrum that Nintendo hasn’t used for Joy-Con yet – maybe it’s time to do it.

At least Peer is impressed that the Switch’s UI can distinguish them when docked into the system. Now it’s a nice touch!

We still get along with the two shades of blue displayed with the recently unveiled limited edition Zelda: Skyward Sword Joy-Cons. Come on, Nintendo. Choose a shade of blue and stick with it.
