Rams expected Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp to play vs. Packers

The Green Bay Packers are unlikely to receive any injury breaks when the Los Angeles Rams arrive at Lambeau Field for Saturday’s NFC Divisional Round playoff game.

Rams coach Sean McVay he said on Sunday defensive end Aaron Donald and wide receiver Cooper Kupp are expected to play against the Packers despite new injuries.

The Rams upset the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, but both Donald (ribs) and Kupp (knees) left the game and never returned. McVay labeled both of them as everyday and expressed confidence in both of them ‘ability to play against the Packers in the next round of the playoffs.

Donald injured his ribs as he approached Russell Wilson in the second half. Kupp disappeared at the end of a play at the end of the fourth quarter.

Donald is twice the NFL defensive player of the year and the most annoying defensive lineman in the game. A first-team All-Pro for the sixth straight season, Donald produced 13.5 sacks, 27 touchdowns and four forts in 16 games in 2020.

Kupp, the Rams’ main receiver, caught 92 passes for 974 meters and three touchdowns this season.

Rams has not yet decided who will play quarterback on Saturday. McVay has to choose between Jared Goff, who suffers from a thumb injury, and John Wolford, who was eliminated from Saturday’s victory with a stinger. While the defender’s situation looks troubled, the Rams would get a big boost at Lambeau Field if Donald and Kupp can play.

It is unclear how the elements of Green Bay – including the cold – would affect the situation of the injury of the rams.

Rams will not release an injury report until later this week. Official injury names for the game will not be available until Friday.
