In the past year, many have pointed out that the upcoming launch of Ubisoft Rainbow Six Carantine it has become a rather ironic title, given how many people around the world have begun to quarantine because of the pandemic. Well, for one reason or another, Ubisoft doesn’t seem to be so interested in this name and it looks like it will change it soon enough.
In a new leak on the PlayStation Store, Ubisoft removed a new pre-release patch for Rainbow Six Carantina which seems to completely change the name. Inainta, Quarantine was given up with the new name being Rainbow Six Parasite. In subsequent excavations, new images containing the key art of the game and a new logo were found in this update.
While a name changes to Parasite it’s pretty exciting on its own, what’s more interesting is that Ubisoft is even pushing a pre-release update like this. Although we should not conclude, the fact that Ubisoft is even preparing an “initial release patch” for Rainbow Six Parasite seems to tell us that we could learn a lot more about the game soon.
At this time, a release date for Parasite it wasn’t offered by Ubisoft, but the publisher recently gave us a better window to expect. As mentioned in a recent earnings call, Ubisoft said the game will be released sometime before the end of the second quarter of next fiscal year. This means that it will arrive before the end of September on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
Assuming that this name changes to Rainbow Six Parasite it’s official, we should hear confirmation from Ubisoft soon. If this happens, we’ll be sure to update you at our game coverage center right here.
