A manipulator injured a two-year-old boy on the subway in New York on Saturday, the last violent incident that affected the transit system.
The attack took place on Saturday afternoon around 15:00 on a C train heading north in Manhattan.
The New York Post reports that the train was on West 116th Street and Douglas Boulevard when the beggar woman approached a mother and her boy, who were sitting on the train, to ask for money.
When the beggar got too close, his mother asked, “Can you pray to stand 6 feet away?”

The unidentified beggar ignored the request and stepped on the woman’s left leg.
– Why did you step on me? the mother asked, before the manipulator began to punch wildly, connecting at least once with the small child.
The child was left with visible injuries to his face and ear.
The attack ended only when a witness removed the suspect from his mother and child.
An ambulance transported the boy to Mount Sinai-St. Luke and he was later released.
Meanwhile, the suspect managed to escape when the train arrived at the next station. She is described as being 40 years old, heavy, with a tattoo on her neck and a buzzcut. He wore a gray hood, washed jeans, boots and a white mask.
PIX11 reports that it was not the only Harlem subway attack this weekend.

Transit workers are calling for a resumption of the 24-hour subway program, which was suspended in May to allow stations to be cleaned due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Employees claim that overnight hours when the subway is not currently operating have become dangerous.
The MTA claims that five subway workers were assaulted during the night, when trains are stopped.
Meanwhile, since August, there have been nearly 300 allegations of harassment against subway workers.
Currently, two more hours are added to the operation of the system, although two hours will be without service between 2:00 and 4:00 each night for cleaning.
The MTA recently requested the deployment of another 1,500 officers in the NYPD subway system.
Instead, the NYPD sent less than half of that on Tuesday, adding 644 police officers to subway stations.
The transit system has suffered greatly since the beginning of the pandemic, reducing the number of passengers by around 90% because people work more often from home.
