The young Puerto Rican Alanis Sophia failed to enter the Top 12 of American Idol, being eliminated from the singing competition.

After ranking among the 16 favorites yesterday, this evening Alanis did not get the necessary votes to continue in the reality show. Of the 12 contestants chosen, 10 were chosen by public vote and the jury saved two more.
