Publix cancels the COVID-19 vaccine appointment window on Wednesday due to the weather

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida – The state of Florida does not escape the impact of winter weather that covers so much of the US

Storms from Idaho to Texas to Pennsylvania have delayed vaccine shipments to Florida.

Publix canceled its appointment window for the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday due to lack of supply. The next scheduled window will now be Friday morning at 7 p.m.

Publix said appointments scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday are not affected by the change.

“We know how important the administration of this vaccine is, so we deeply regret the need to cancel Wednesday’s scheduling event,” a Publix spokesman said on Tuesday. “Once the additional vaccine is received, we will announce the next opportunity for scheduling the vaccine.”
