But Mario remains at number 1 with 1,000 units
This week’s increase in PlayStation 5 stock has had a big impact on the sale of its video games.
The biggest of them is Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The most popular PS5 game increased by 172% in weekly physical box sales, going from number 7 to number 2. The game missed the first place with only 1,000 units.
The other big PS5 exclusive in the charts is Demon’s Souls at number 21. The game was not in the Top 40 in boxing last week, but it returns due to the 123% increase in sales.
Overall, sales of PS5 box games increased by 64% compared to the previous week.
At number 1 is the Nintendo Switch Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game, which secures its third consecutive No. 1, despite a 38% drop in weekly sales.
There have been a few new releases this week. Persona 5 Strikers from Atlus debuts at number 5 on Switch and PS4 (PS4 accounts for 72% of sales). Meanwhile, Bravely Default 2 from Square Enix on the Nintendo Switch is number 11
The latest big performer this week is The Last of Us: Part 2. The PS4 returns to the top 3 after a 3992% increase in sales due to a price reduction that saw the horror game fall below GBP 20 to major retailers with retail.
