To strengthen and seek new expansion opportunities for local businesses and products in the North American market, ProDominicana Executive Director, Biviana Riveiro Disla, participated in a trade mission to the United States.

During his participation, Riveiro Disla, given that, tried to identify opportunities for foreign investment The United States is among the most important trading partners this year with an investment of US $ 367.05 million, followed by Switzerland with US $ 121.20 million, Haiti with US $ 69.81 million, Puerto Rico US $ 38.45 million and the Netherlands US $ 27.15 million.

Riveiro, accompanied by Jaime Licairac, Export Director; Marcial Smester, Director of Foreign Investments; Lissette Elías, Florida Business Commissioner; Raysa Rodríguez, business director in New York; and Maritza Bello, International Relations Manager, held individual meetings with product distribution companies in the US, as well as Dominican and North American businessmen, to establish links that enable the commercialization and positioning of Creole products in that country, as well as open opportunities for new investors in areas such as tourism, technology, infrastructure development, among others.

The work agenda included meetings at the consulates of New York and Miami, the mission also included entities such as the C12 Group, Atlanta businessmen, De Mi País importer, Coral Gables Magazine, E-Florida, Interport Logistics, Port of Miami, Mana Common , Miami World Trade Center, Cacao Export, SBS, the Coral Gables and Doral Mayors, among others.

In addition to government representation, the mission included the New York consuls, engineer Eligió Jáquez, and from Miami, engineer Jacobo Fernández. Likewise, at certain meetings the delegation was accompanied by the Commissioner of the City of Doral, Digna Cabral, who is notable for maintaining a strong connection with the Dominican community in South Florida.
