Priyanka Chopra announces that she will open an Indian restaurant in New York: “I am delighted to introduce you to SONA”
Priyanka Chopra announced that she will open a restaurant called SONA in New York at the end of March.
The 38-year-old actress made the news public by posting a trio of images on her Instagram account on Saturday.
The former Miss World wrote a long message in the caption of the post, where she expressed her enthusiasm for her new business.

Chopra began his message by writing: “I am delighted to introduce you to SONA, a new restaurant in New York where I poured my love for Indian food.”
Then she explained the concept behind her restaurant and mentioned that “SONA is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavors we grew up with.”

On the same day, Chopra’s business partner, Maneesh K. Goyal, posted on his own Instagram account to share his feelings about the soon-to-be-opened restaurant.
The restaurant pointed out that SONA was not planned by one person in particular and wrote that “Opening a restaurant is definitely a team effort.”
He then spoke of Chopra’s devotion to providing a space for her culture to be appreciated, writing that “There is no one who personifies better – and bolder – the ‘global Indian’ than Pri.”
Goyal also noted that Chopra was very practical while the restaurant concept was developing.
“From design, to menu, to music, even to name, Priyanka has her imprints everywhere in SONA,” he wrote.

In addition to his recent efforts as a restaurant, Chopra currently has several film projects.
The actress will lead the cast of the upcoming romantic drama film Text for You, which will see her play alongside Outlander star Sam Heughan, as well as singer Celine Dion.
The main photo of the project started in October 2020 and moved to post-production this year.
The figure in the entertainment industry has also been added to the cast of the upcoming film Matrix; her role has not yet been determined.
Although the function was originally launched in May of this year, it was pushed back to December 2022 before the premiere date was rescheduled for December 22 this year.
