Princess Eugenie attends Prince Philip’s funeral after giving birth

Princess Eugenie went public for the first time since her birth to attend Prince Philip’s funeral.

The daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson attended the ceremony on Saturday with her husband Jack Brooksbank. The couple welcomed their son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, on February 9.

The royal family, including the reunited brothers, Prince William and Prince Harry, gathered at Windsor Castle to say goodbye to the Duke of Edinburgh, who died on April 9 at the age of 99.

The small ceremony, secured by COVID, included only 30 family members – not even Prince Philip’s and Queen Elizabeth II’s great-grandchildren attended.

Eugenie, 30, gave birth at Portland Hospital in London to Brooksbank, 35.

She announced the name of the newborn, which included a sweet sign to the late grandfather, a few weeks later.

The photos accompanying the news about the name showed the couple who owned August, who wore a blue hat and was wrapped in a suitable blanket.

In her legend, Eugenie also revealed that August was delivered by a midwife, who took photos of the new family.

“Thank you to the wonderful workers, including our midwife who came to kick our boy out,” Eugenie wrote.

Eugenie, who is tenth in the British throne behind her older sister Beatrice, 32, married Brooksbank at Windsor Castle in 2018, in the same year and in the same location, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot. The couple allegedly left Frogmore Cottage in Sussex in December.
