Prince William still misses his brother, Prince Harry, a year after Megxit, according to a new profile of the heir to the throne-heir of Great Britain.
“Once he got over the anger of the way things happened, he was left with his brother’s absence,” an assistant told the Sunday Times in Britain.
“They shared everything about their lives, an office, a foundation, meetings together most days and there was a lot of fun along the way,” added the unnamed assistant.
“He will miss her forever.”
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have given up California and given up their royal life, Prince William feels he is doomed forever to face the future, as the next king of Great Britain, without his brother next, is next, friends told the Times.
Prince William “certainly feels the pressure now on him – his future looks different because of his brother’s choices, it’s not easy.” a friend told the newspaper.
“It’s still cruel,” agreed another friend, who also refused to be named.
“He is very upset about what happened, although he has the absolute intention that his and Harry’s relationship will heal in time.”
And Prince Harry mourned the fall.
“I love William to the end,” he said last week. “We went through hell together and we have a common experience, but we are on different paths.”
The brothers will have multiple chances to see each other in person this summer, the Times profile noted.
The Duke of Edinburgh will turn 100 in June; a statue of Princess Diana will be unveiled in July at Kensington Palace, marking what would have been her 60th birthday, the newspaper said.
