Prince Philip thought Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview was “crazy”

Prince Philip would have thought that the explosive interview of his nephew Harry and Meghan Markle, Oprah Winfrey, was “crazy”.

Philip, who died on Friday at the age of 99, also felt that “it will not come well” in early March, his biographer Gyles Brandreth wrote in the Daily Mail on Sunday.

Markle sent shockwaves through the royal household when he claimed during the interview that undisclosed family members expressed concern about the color of Archie’s son’s skin.

“I know from someone close to him that he thought Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey was ‘crazy’ and ‘it wouldn’t go well,'” Brandreth wrote, referring to the Duke of Edinburgh.

“I wasn’t surprised because that’s how he described my personal TV interviews with Prince Charles and Diana, the Princess of Wales in the 1990s.”

But Philip, according to Brandreth, was not bothered for the time being. However, he criticized the couple for publicly conveying their personal problems.

“The fact that the interview with Meghan and Harry was broadcast while Philip was in the hospital did not bother him,” Brandreth wrote.

“What worried him was the couple’s concern with their own problems and their desire to talk about them in public. “Give TV interviews by all means,” he said, “but don’t talk about yourself.” ”
