He is no longer a member of the royal family, Prince Harry has a new job: executive at a Silicon Valley startup.
The Duke of Sussex will become the impact director of BetterUp Inc., a fast-growing coaching and mental health company, the company plans to announce on Tuesday.
The role is the latest foray into business for the duke who, along with his wife, Meghan Markle, has given up full-time membership in the British monarchy and entered their celebrity with a series of lucrative deals in recent months.
“I intend to help create an impact on people’s lives,” Prince Harry said in an email to questions about why he is taking his job. “Proactive coaching offers endless opportunities for personal development, increased awareness and a better life at all times.”
In the BetterUp position, Prince Harry is expected to contribute to initiatives, including product strategy decisions and charitable contributions, and will publicly advocate on mental health issues.
