Prince Harry is back in LA. For days there has been all sorts of speculation about how much time he would spend in the UK and how he will spend it, with people sadly hoping that his return visit to London without Meghan Markle will result in reconciliation – the implication being that Meghan is one that is the problem. Some also rumored that he intended to stay on Queen’s Day, which is today.
The problem is that no one really knew what Harry was going to do, at least of all the places he was reported to, because Harry made it known how he felt about the UK media. The fact that he is now at home with his wife and child means that whatever happened between him and his family members was not enough to prolong his journey.
This does not mean that there were no positive aspects coming out of it, although perhaps not the positive ones that circulated. Like the story of Harry writing a “deeply personal” letter to Prince Charles. According to Omid Scobie’s piece from Harper’s Bazaar, this is not true. There was no correspondence, but everyone agreed that the focus would only be on Prince Philip and the funeral:
“This trip was to honor his grandfather’s life and support his grandmother and relatives,” said a source close to Harry. “It simply came to our notice then. He broke the ice for future talks on Saturday, but the remaining issues were not addressed for long. The family simply put their problems aside to focus on what matters. ”
All in all, pretty neutral information. The only thing worth commenting on here is that, well, of course, if there was a family that couldn’t talk about the elephant in the room, it would be this one.
However, to go back to the media involvement and the British royal family’s relationship with the UK media, especially the tabloid media, which Harry addressed quite directly in the interview with Oprah, you saw that story. about Arthur Edwards and how he photographed the funeral?
Arthur Edwards is the photographer for The Sun, one of the works that Harry and Meghan sued. He had a special hole in which he was allowed to hide it at St. George’s Chapel during the funeral to obtain exclusive photographs – and he claims that these were Prince Philip’s wishes.
