Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have finally given up on social media

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no “plans” to return to social media almost a year after Megxit.

A source close to the former royals told The Times of London that it is “very unlikely” to have an online presence, especially because of the “hatred” they received.

Before the couple broke away from the royal family, social media was a big part of their lives.

The couple announced their Megxit plan to the world through an Instagram post on their “Sussex Royal” profile. Although the profile is still activated, it is not active. They last posted a farewell message in March 2020, saying “while you may not see us here, the work continues.”

They also revealed the birth and name of their baby Archie through the platform.

Before her engagement to Harry, Meghan ran an online blog called “The Tig,” which she closed after her engagement to Harry. He also had a personal Instagram profile.

Harry allegedly used an anonymous secret account on Instagram when he and Meghan started dating.

Although they have a podcast on Spotify, Archewell Charity will not have its own social media accounts.

The couple launched their Christmas card through Mayhew, an animal organization with which Meghan has been involved in the past.
