President Abinader has left for Europe

President Luis Abinader traveled to Madrid, Spain, on Saturday night to meet with King Felipe VI, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez Pérez and former Presidents José María Aznar and Felipe González, before attending the Summit. Heads of state of Andorra.

This second trip of the president, after taking over the presidency of the country, took place on Saturday, at 21:50, on Air Europa flight 088.

The president was accompanied before leaving by Vice President Raquel Peña, who remains in office in the Dominican executive branch.

According to information provided by the Presidency of the Republic, Abinader will also meet with business groups and hold a luncheon with the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), Zurab Pololikashviliha.

Abinader will be received by the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the Kingdom of Spain, Juan Bolívar Díaz, and the Director of Ceremonial and State Protocol, Ambassador Francisco Cantizano Nadal.

At the hotel where he will stay in Madrid, President Luis Abinader will have a meeting with the former President of the Spanish Government, Felipe González, scheduled for one afternoon, on the same day of his arrival.

An hour later, you will meet for a private lunch with the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), Zurab Pololikashviliha.

Later, the Dominican president will lead a meeting with the leaders of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) based in Spain.

At six in the afternoon, he will meet with the former President of the Spanish Government, José María Aznar, and at eight in the evening he will attend a dinner with prominent personalities from the Dominican community in Spain.

On Monday, the 19th, President Abinader will attend the first business meeting organized by the Dominican Chamber of Commerce in Spain and the Alianza por Iberoamérica Business Council (CEAPI), in the Borges Hall of the House of America.
