Powerball, Mega Millions jackpots among the largest in US history

Two of the largest jackpots in US lottery history continue to rise.

Powerball, which is the 8th largest jackpot, is up to $ 640 million. The chances of winning are one in 292.2 million.

The Powerball Jackpot numbers were 14, 20, 39, 65, 67 from Saturday’s draw. The Powerball number is 2.

Another of the biggest jackpots in US history will increase even more, as there was no winner for Friday’s draw of the top prize of 750 million dollars of Mega Millions.

These numbers were 3, 11, 12, 38, 43, with a Mega Ball of 15 and would have marked the fifth largest jackpot ever drawn.

There were many smaller winners on Friday.

Mega Millions has estimated that its next top prize will be $ 850 million, which would be the third largest of all time. The drawing is on Tuesday.

It’s been almost two years since a lottery jackpot increased so much. No one has won the game’s biggest prize in months.

The jackpot amounts listed refer to the winners who opt for a rate, paid for a period of 30 years. The winners almost always choose cash prizes, which for Powerball would be 478.7 million dollars. The estimated cash prize for the next Mega Millions jackpot is $ 628.2 million.

Mega Millions and Powerball are both played in 45 states, as well as in Washington, DC and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball is also offered in Puerto Rico.
