Portal now open for COVID-19 vaccinations at the Orange County Convention Center

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The portal to make an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the Orange County Convention Center opened on Tuesday morning with the new expanded capacity of the site.

The portal opened on Tuesday at 10:30 am and will close when all appointments will be made. This marks the second time the slots have been made available to 16 and over. In the last period, which was Friday, over 9,000 meetings were occupied in about 45 minutes.

The convention center now offers 4,000 photos a day, from 3,000 Monday through Saturday.

Appointments can be made by registering at patientportalfl.com.

Monday marked the first day that age eligibility has declined to allow all adults and teens access to photography. Across Central Florida, vaccination sites have seen long lines and large crowds.

The FEMA site on Valencia’s Western Campus was left without its first photos at about 1 p.m. That location and other FEMA sites in the state offer Johnson & Johnson only the first dose starting Tuesday morning.

FEMA officials said the plan is to deliver 5,000 Johnson & Johnson shots on Tuesday. As of 2:40 p.m., there were plenty of other doses.
