Porsche unveils new 911 Turbo on the island

Porsche Center Puerto Rico recently introduced the eighth and latest generation 911 Turbo virtually. The launch was made at an unprecedented event, inspired by one of Porsche’s most successful international launches in Los Angeles, California.

For the past 45 years, the Porsche 911 Turbo has been the benchmark for high-performance sports cars that can be used comfortably every day. The new 911 Turbo is even more powerful, faster and more unique than before. The renewed braking system is even more powerful and can be recognized by the standard red fixed calipers. The gray cast iron discs measure 408 mm in diameter at the front (28 mm more than before) and are 36 mm thick (2 mm more). 911 Turbo has for the first time an optional sports exhaust system. The two different chassis options available are also new. The standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) offers a wider range of adjustment possibilities between comfort and sportiness, is firmer than before and with electronically controlled sport damping, decreases body height by 10 millimeters. Its configuration aims to improve the dynamics of the car and offers even greater stability in high-speed driving, such as when the vehicle is used on racing circuits. The options of the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and the ceramic brake system, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), with fixed calipers with 10 pistons on the front axle, provide an additional update for the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle.

The basic elements of the modern interior correspond to those of the rest of the 911 Carrera and include the Porsche Advanced Cockpit and Direct Touch Control. The central display of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) measures 10.9 inches and, thanks to its new architecture, can be operated quickly and without distractions.
