Popular announced today the opening of the new prototype of an ecological branch located in the city of Isabela; Highway # 4494, intersection with highway number two. This new installation is notable for the fact that it can continue to operate without electricity or water, after a natural disaster.
With this initiative, the financial institution tries to provide uninterrupted services, while offering customers a better experience in the industry.
“One of the main objectives of Popular is to take advantage of the most innovative resources and put them at the service of our customers. This new model has the capacity to withstand sustained winds of up to 160 mph and to have water and electricity with a solar energy system and net metering “, commented Luis Cestero, executive vice president of the Popular individual banking group.
The building, with 5,300 square meters in the interior space and 2,500 square meters in the autobanco area, has solar panels that generate 75% of the annual electricity charge, connected to an emergency generator and batteries. The facility also has a rain collection system to be used in green area irrigation and sanitary use. “This branch model allows us to serve our customers, after a natural disaster or other types of situations, more immediately and more efficiently,” concluded Cestero.
The inauguration of this space represents the consolidation of the branches that were located in Isabela Pueblo and Isabela Mall. Other attractions of this branch are a unique architectural design, a lighting system with a high-performance LED lamp to reduce energy consumption, air conditioning with air filtration (UV light) to purify the air and eliminate bacteria and viruses; high-efficiency fans with variable speed control, parking for recharging electric vehicles, umbrellas and eaves to prevent sunlight and heat from entering the branch.
Its exterior façade is distinguished by the crystals around it, with an ultraviolet reduction system, which allows greater natural lighting. Inside, white stands out on all walls to highlight the corporate blue color of the payers area and the modular workstations of the work area with divisions up to the ceiling for greater privacy for our customers.
The branch has a representative area of the bank, a change system and three smart ATMs with touch screen, where customers can make deposits, payments and withdrawals. It also has five autobbank lanes, a currency exchange machine, an express mailbox for deposits and payments, banking consultants who will provide assistance in opening individual and commercial accounts, as well as other services.
