Police – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

The bodies of six people were found in a house in Allen early Monday morning in an apparent mass suicide, Allen police said.

Officers were asked to conduct a welfare check at a house in block 1500 of Pine Bluff Drive at around 1 a.m. When officers entered the house, they discovered the bodies of six people.

The names and ages of the victims have not been confirmed, but police said there was a grandparent, two parents and three children.

“It appears that two teenage sons entered into an agreement that they were going to commit suicide and that they would take their relatives with them,” said Allen Police Sgt. Jon Felty told KRLD-AM Monday morning.

It has not been confirmed when the deaths occurred.

Felty said there is no threat to the neighborhood and no problems at home have been reported, KRLD reported.

The family, Felty said, apparently emigrated from Bangladesh.
