Stinnett’s former police chief Jason Collier was arrested by Texas Rangers on Thursday after being placed on administrative leave on Wednesday. The City of Stinnett Facebook page confirmed that Collier has resigned.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Cindy Barkley said Tuesday that the office of the Hutchinson County District Attorney has asked the Texas Rangers to open a criminal investigation into Collier.
