BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – The Cumru police department is investigating an armed robbery at a local gas station.

On Friday, around 10:42, the police were sent to a Sunoco gas station on block 100 of Revere Boulevard in Cumru.

Authorities say witnesses described the suspect as a white man with a height of 5’9 “- 5’11” inches, on a stocky construction, wearing a royal blue puffy jacket with a hood on arrival. , blue jeans, closed shoes, blue surgery style gloves, a blue cover / face mask and black sunglasses.

According to reports, the suspect entered the store and went to a beverage cooler, where he took out a 16 oz. Coca-Cola plastic bottle.

The suspect then approached the store’s box with a semi-automatic black pistol and demanded money from the Sunoco employee, officials say.

The employee provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of American currency that was placed in a plastic bag.

The suspect took the bag and the soda bottle that was running on foot through the parking lot heading east on the Crofts service lot on 114 Revere Street.

Officials say the suspect stayed in Sunoco for about two minutes.
