As you may have heard, this is the 25th anniversary of Pokémon on February 27 (this is the weekend). Prior to that, the Pokémon Company conducted a poll, asking Japanese trainers to vote for their favorite pocket monster via Twitter. To vote, participants were forced to share the name of any pocket monster in Japanese on the social platform.

In the end, more than a million votes were cast – the most voted Pokémon receiving almost 69,000 entries. So who were the first choices? In first place was Dedenne, in second place was Cinccino (54,444 votes) and in third place Sableye with 45,562 votes. The face of the franchise (Pikachu) was in seventh place.
