The Pokemon company officially started celebrating its 25th anniversary with a 2-minute video. The new video serves as a reflector for the different parts of the franchise, almost every part of the extended multimedia franchise appear in some form. The video follows a series of Poke balls that run as you progress through a Rube Goldberg-esque sequence, passing Pokemon books, Pokemon toys and toys, and video game consoles and memories. The video ends with the revelation that Pokemon Company is teaming up with Katy Perry on a new music program called P25 Music, which will release new music throughout the year. As part of the anniversary celebration, Pokemon Company also launched a new logo, featuring Pikachu and the various Pokemon Starter from various games. Each set of Pokemon Starter participates in a kind of action that was either unique in their region or introduced for the first time during their generation of Pokemon games. Finally, the Pokemon Company teased some of its future plans for the rest of the year. In addition to the P25 Music project, Pokemon Company also announced collaborations with Build-A-Bear Workshop, General Mills, Levi’s, McDonalds, Jazwares, Scholastic, Mattel, Funko, PowerA and Wand Company. The Pokemon trading card game will also launch special collections with a 25th anniversary theme, along with oversized books with Pikachu and other Pokemon Starter. The Pokemon company has also launched a new site hub that will serve as the central location for all the festivities related to the franchise’s 25th anniversary and will look back at all Pokemon regions, starting with the Galar region and ending with the Kanto region from the first Pokemon games.
