PlayStation 5 has been a huge success for Sony, with many players around the world still desperate to get their hands on a console.
The fans are so eager to own a PS5 that the price of almost 450 pounds of the system will not be a compromise. However, in the harsh financial climate that many of us live in now, a man has made an extraordinary effort to hide his new expensive family console.
Le Gia Hung’s efforts to keep his new PS5 undercover, while he still has it installed in his living room, are impressive.
Realizing that they need to mask the console to avoid some awkward questions, Hung told his family that the PS5 is actually their new Wi-Fi router.
Then he went a step further with his lie, covering the PlayStation logo on the console with a Wi-Fi sticker – and even hired someone to act as an engineer to “install” his new equipment.
Hung shared his story in a post on Facebook, in which he talked about the quality of his internet connection since he made the change. The post included a lot of images with his PS5 to clarify that Hung was referring to his new console.
“Even if the new Wi-Fi device is a bit big, it’s not a problem,” Hung joked.
Social media users rushed to praise Hung for thinking outside the box, with several suggesting that he deserved to get rid of his plot simply because of how committed he was to him.
“He invested 100% in his lie. How dedicated this man is,” he said in a comment. “I’m not here to judge her relationship or anything,” insisted another user. “He had to do what he had to do. At least he went 100% to his lie.”
Given that his setup has gone viral, Hung’s family is unlikely to still be aware of a PS5 in their front room. That being said, the man deserves a massive amount of credit because he hatched the plan in the first place.
The word “legend” has been used several times on social media regarding Hung’s heroic plot. It is a description that is hard to disagree with.
