Players are sending a message to Matthew Stafford about joining the Los Angeles Rams, sources said

As Tom Brady lured free agents to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Matthew Stafford is expected to do the same for the Los Angeles Rams.

Shortly after the Rams and Detroit Lions agreed to a deal to send Stafford west, the defender began receiving texts from players who wanted to join him in Los Angeles, according to sources.

It’s very similar to what happened in March last year, after Brady and Bucs reached an agreement. The players began to reach out to Brady and the Buccaneers, expressing interest in moving to Tampa to be around a great defender and great weather. They wanted to be part of an organization that has now become the first team in NFL history to play in a Super Bowl at his home stadium.

Stafford had a similar experience last weekend, and the Rams will try to become the second consecutive team to play in the Super Bowl at their home stadium. Super Bowl LVI will take place at SoFi Stadium.

One of those players who expects to be interested in joining Stafford of Los Angeles is Marvin Jones Jr., according to sources. Jones is scheduled to be a free agent this winter and grew up in Fontana, California, and later participated in Cal. Rams and Jones seem to fit in right before the free agency starts on March 17th.

There will be others. Rams will have a recruitment advantage over some teams with the city they play in, the stadium they brag about and the defender they have.
