PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh native Michael Keaton will play Batman in a 2022 film.
Brooks Barnes of the New York Times interviewed DC Films President Walter Hamada and found out that 69-year-old Keaton and Ben Affleck will play Batman in Warner Bros. “The Flash”. The film will “link the two universes and feature two batmans,” the NYT reports.
Barnes also took to Twitter to confirm the news.
“Based on your Hamada play, some have interpreted WB as making two franchises with Batman, one with Pattinson, one with a new actor. Is that correct, or did you refer to Keaton as the second Batman, part of a non-Batman-centered saga? Thank you, ”said Nestor Cine, founder of Desde Hollywood, a bilingual movie news site.
“Keaton,” Barnes said.

Later, some fans thought that Keaton would play the superhero in the new movie and more. Barnes quickly broke that rumor.
I went offline (move apartments) and come back to see this madness of Michael Keaton. I was referring to * a movie * that Keaton was told he was in, not a set of his own Batman movies. If I had information about him beyond the “Flash”, I would have obviously put it in my article

Keaton made his Batman debut in Tim Burton’s 1989 “Batman” and the 1992 sequel “Batman Returns.”
In 2017, the acclaimed actor received an honorary doctorate in Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University.
