Pikmin 3 Deluxe is officially the best-selling entry in the series in Japan

Pikmin he was never one of Nintendo major franchises in terms of units sold, but it’s nice to know that the latest entry – Pikmin 3 Deluxe – has found a degree of commercial success in Japan.

The total physical sales of the game – which is an update of the original Wii U – in the Nintendo homeland now amount to 513,225 copies, which means that the Switch title sold the original GameCube Pikmin, which made 502,996 sales over its lifetime, but was later reissued on the Wii.

In contrast, the original Wii U version has Pikmin 3 managed to exchange 232,313 units in Japan.
