Piers Morgan responded to Sharon Osbourne’s departure from “The Talk” in a lengthy account of her own dramatic departure from “Good Morning Britain” – in which she defended their controversial comments about Meghan Markle as “free speech”.
“What has happened to Sharon and me in the last two weeks is not really about Mrs. Markle,” he wrote in a column for Mail on Sunday, in which he says Markle exploits “the vision of the awakened world” and “cancels the culture.” ”In her bomb interview.
“This is a much bigger problem than a delusional duchess and it is everyone’s right to be free to express their opinions sincerely, with strength and passion if it comes to us,” he wrote.
Osbourne dropped “The Talk” on Friday, two weeks after entering into a live argument with his co-hosts, while defending Morgan’s diatribe on GMB, in which he threw Markle’s interview.
“I feel like I’m about to be put in an electric chair because I have a friend that a lot of people think is racist, so he makes me racist,” Osbourne said, pushing his co-hosts to tell him “what is he? he said he was racist. ”
Morgan also wrote a tweet about Saturday’s controversy, posting a picture of him with Osbourne.
“What happened@MrsSOsbourneit’s an absolute shame that makes CBS ashamed. Dismissed for defending me against a fabricated insult to racism because I don’t think I’m a liar. In tomorrow’s Sunday Mail, I will tell MY truth about this bull of cancellation awakened to the culture * t, ” he wrote.
