The Hindu community, including some politicians, has launched a wave of criticism against singer Rihanna, accusing her of “cultural abuse” and “ridicule” of her religion, after posting a photo on her social media wearing a necklace that alludes to the god Ganesha.

According to the text she wrote in the publication, it seems that the artist only wanted to advertise the unisex satin garment that belongs to her line of activity dedicated to lingerie.
However, people in India who saw the snapshot took it very badly. Even the famous politician of the Indian People’s Party, Ram Kadam, wrote on Twitter: “It is awful to see Rihanna mocking our beloved Hindu god Ganesha with shame … She has no idea or respect for Indian culture, tradition or our problems ”.
