Former Brazilian footballer Edson Arantes of the Birth ‘Pelé’ received this Tuesday the first dose of vaccine against covid-19 and celebrated the “unforgettable” day with a photo shared on his social networks.
“Today has been an unforgettable day. I have the vaccine! But the pandemic is not over yet. We need to maintain discipline to preserve lives, while many people have not yet been immunized“, Pelé said in a message through his Facebook and Instagram accounts.
“El Rey” received the first dose of vaccine in the port of São Paulo in Santos, where he spent most of the pandemic in isolation with his family, close to his mother who is about to turn one hundred years old and avoid participating in public events. .
“Please wash your hands and stay home if possible. When you go out, don’t forget to wear a mask and keep your social distance. This will happen if we can think of each other and help each other“, he expressed.
The proclaimed “Athlete of the 20th Century” turned eighty on October 23.
In addition to Pelé, other Brazilian celebrities have received the covid-19 vaccine, such as “Rey” from the song Roberto Carlos, one of the most popular in the country and who is 80 years old.
