The Los Angeles Dodgers added pitcher Trevor Bauer a few days ago and the player did it the richest in all MLB for the next two seasons. However, not all were additions to Ravina Chavez, as several fan favorites saw the team leave, like Kike Hernandez and the slugger Pederson Game, the latter suffering quite a lot from his team throughout his life.
Through The Player’s Tribune, Joc Pederson wrote a farewell letter to the Dodgers and the mixed emotions about leaving a place he loves so much and the possibilities open to him when faced with a new challenge.
After 10 years with the Dodgers, I signed a one-year deal last week to play for the Cubs, and the emotions I feel now are quite intense. On the one hand, I am more than ready for this new challenge in my career, but on the other hand, if you spend 10 years somewhere, saying goodbye becomes difficult. You make friends for life, you create great memories. These things are hard to let go.
Pederson was recruited by the Dodgers in 2010 and made his Big Top debut in 2014, where he averaged .230 in his career, with 130 home runs, 303 RBIs and 10.6 WARs.
