Patrick Mahomes’ favorite to win the Super Bowl LV MVP over Tom Brady

Tom Brady has won more Super Bowl Player Valuable Player (MVP) awards than anyone, but he is not the favorite to win the award in the LV edition.

Patrick Mahomes, defender for the Kansas City Chiefs, is the betting favorite to be named MVP of the next NFL title game, with odds -120 in the Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill. Brady is second with +190.

Mahomes won the Super Bowl MVP award last year after posting three touchdowns, including two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, that helped the Chiefs overtake the San Francisco 49ers and win the LIV edition with a score of 31- twenty.

Brady was named MVP in four of the six Super Bowl victories, the most recent in 2017, when he helped the New England Patriots bounce back from a 28-3 deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons.

The winner of the winning teams has won the MVP award 29 times, including eight of the last 11 Super Bowls, but for the LV edition there are interesting players on both teams.

Catcher Tyreek Hill and Chiefs, Travis Kelce, bet 13-1. Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette are 25-1, followed by Kansas City running Clyde Edwards-Helaire 30-1.

Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are also 30-1 pieces in betting. Bucquaneers defender Shaquil Barrett and Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu have the best odds for defensive players at 40-1.

Super Bowl LV will be played on February 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The Chiefs are the three-point consensus favorites over the Buccaneers.
