Patria y Vida has over 369,000 views on YouTube in just 24 hours

In just 24 hours, the video “Homeland and Life”, new theme released by Maykel Osorbo, Yotuel, Gente de Zona, Descemer Bueno and other Cuban musicians, surpassed 369,000 views on YouTube.

On Tuesday night, the artists met in Miami to present the video and made it an exciting video call from Cuba to Maykel Osorbo, El Funky and Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, artists who also participated in the project.

Video direction was responsible for Asiel Babastro, one of the favorite conductors of urban music in Cuba and presents the special aspect of the artist Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, leader of the San Isidro Movement, whose actions united Cubans both inside and outside the island.

In the video – whose refrain reads: “It’s over, it’s over, 60 years have blocked the domino” – there are images of recent events in Cuba, from scenes of violence and repression to the solidarity that the actions of the San Isidro Movement.

“God, they brought tears to my eyes, mothers crying for their children who have left. Cuba libre,” a Cuban woman commented on Yotuel’s YouTube channel, where the video was released.

“How great are my brothers, they have managed to express in this song the heartbreaking cry of our entire Cuban people who are shouting for Freedom! What emotion, they are loved. Long live Cuba Libre!”

“I am proud to be a Cuban to see our artists joining for the first time to sing in search of Cuba’s freedom. Congratulations to those who joined, hopefully many others to raise their voices on behalf of the blinding voices of the people. Long live Cuba Libre.” , commented another.

On this subject, which promises to be a kind of anthem for Cuba’s freedom, said opposition rapper Maykel Osorbo: “The beauty is that people connect, the theme has been done and is being listened to. Now we’re going to start filming all the people listening to songs here in Havana’s neighborhoods, because we’re really doing things.
