Passenger with covid-19 traveled by plane from Houston to Bogotá – Bogotá

Despite a positive rapid test for Covid-19, a US citizen traveled on a commercial flight from Houston (United States) to Bogotá.

As confirmed by Migración Colombia, It was the same passenger who claimed to have the evidence during the sanitary check on arrival in the country. The man had just got off a flight of 108 people.

“Immediately, as stated in the health protocols, the foreigner was removed from the area and Migration Colombia, the Ministry of Health and the airline transporting him were informed of what had happened,” the agency said.

Currently, The man is isolated and is waiting for the results of new tests to be definitively confirmed. that you may or may not have covid-19.

If they have the virus, this person could face administrative and legal penalties. The role of the airline is also analyzed in this case.

Migration Colombia indicated that “since the PCR test began to become mandatory again for international travelers, more than 39,000 people have arrived in the country and only two cases have been filed requiring isolation by health authorities.”
