Paris Hilton “moved” by Sarah Silverman apologizing for the prison joke

Paris Hilton says she was brought to tears after learning that Sarah Silverman had apologized for harshly mocking her with a crude sexual joke during a 2007 show.

“I was shocked when I read it [her apology] at first and pleasantly surprised … It was so authentic and so sweet and it really moved me, ”Hilton said in an impromptu episode of his podcast“ This Is Paris ”on Friday.

“I just felt emotional hearing her and I could tell she really wanted to say what she said when she apologized.”

Silverman had blamed me on Thursday for throwing a cruel comic insult at Hilton during the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, which was the same day the hotel’s heiress had to turn into a jail for driving violations.

“I heard that to make her feel comfortable in prison, the guards are going to paint the bars to look like penises,” Silverman said at the time of Hilton. “I’m worried he’ll break his teeth from this.”

Hilton, now 40, said on his podcast earlier this week that he “literally wanted to run out of the room,” when Silverman started doing it.

“But I was just trying to be strong and sit there, because the whole audience was laughing,” she said.

“It was so painful, especially with what I was going through in my life, that people were so bad about it. It was very hard. ”

Upon hearing Hilton’s comments, Silverman apologized to Hilton.

“I regretted the jokes not a few years later, but almost immediately,” the 50-year-old comedian said in Thursday’s episode of “Sarah Silverman’s Podcast.”

Silverman said that when he saw Hilton’s reaction to the joke, “his heart sank” and he actually wrote Hilton an apology.

But after hearing Hilton talk about it last week, the “Rock School” actress realized that Hilton never received it.

“So here I am, 14 years later, I’m telling you, Paris, I’m sorry,” Silverman said. “I was then and I am, much more complete and with much more understanding, I think, now.” She added that the comedy “is not forever green” and that it must change with the times.

The former “Simple Life” star then recorded another episode of her podcast, saying that she really appreciated Silverman’s apologies and that “it means a lot” and that she even has tears in her eyes.

“I’m glad her comedy has grown and she realizes it’s not nice to make fun of people,” she said.

Hilton turned into prison immediately after the awards ceremony. She served three days in prison until she was released for an undisclosed medical condition and arrested at home for 40 days, according to ABC.

Silverman was also hit earlier this year for jokes about Britney Spears during her 2007 MTV Awards appearance.

“Have you seen Britney’s children?” These are the most adorable mistakes you’ll ever see, “Silverman said during the brutal frying, adding that at age 25, the singer” has already accomplished everything she will achieve in her life. “

Silverman responded to criticism of the recurring joke saying he wished he could delete it, but neglected to apologize to pop star “Womanizer.”
