Outgoing members of the Chamber of Accounts lose privileged jurisdiction

The judge of the Special Instruction of the Supreme Court of Justice, Margarita Garabito, must dispose of herself from the date of the file containing the investigation carried out by the Public Ministry against the outgoing members of the Chamber of Accounts.

This is due to the fact that the outgoing members of the CC, Hugo Álvarez, Carlos, Noés Tejada Díaz, Margarita Melenciano Corporán, Félix Álvarez Rivera and Pedro Antonio Ortiz Hernández, lose their privileged jurisdiction because the Senate of the Republic has appointed new officials to that oversight body. of the state.

When the magistrate was removed from the case, the magistrate came to issue a search warrant at the headquarters of the Chamber of Accounts, as well as to order the delivery of the interrogations to the lawyers.

The following is that, after the magistrate is released, he sends the file to the coordinating judge of the investigating courts of the national district, Kenya Romera, so that he can empower an investigating judge who has the task of continuing this case.

Regarding the case, Pepca’s head, Wilson Camacho, refused to hand over the interrogations of the technical defense of the members of the Chamber of Accounts, who filed an appeal before the Constitutional Court.
