Oregon reports 6 more COVID-19 deaths, including the 20th in Deschutes County

A 58-year-old man died Saturday in St. Louis. Charles Bend; 846 new cases represent the lowest number in the state in a few weeks

PORTLAND, Oregon (KTVZ) – COVID-19 claimed six more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 1,347, including the 20th death in Deschutes County, along with 846 new cases, it reported Monday Oregon Health Authority.

A 58-year-old man from Deschutes County died Saturday in St. Louis. Charles Bend, five days after giving positive results, the agency said.

The OHA reported 846 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. Monday, bringing the state total to 103,755. It is the lowest daily number of cases since November 27, when 826 cases were reported in the state.

COVID-19 hospitalizations

The number of COVID-19 hospitalized patients in Oregon is 528, two less than on Sunday. There are 121 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, with no Sunday changes.

The total number of patients in hospital beds may vary between reported times, OHA said. The numbers do not reflect the daily hospitalizations or the length of stay in the hospital. Staff limitations are not included in these data and may further limit the capacity of the bed.

COVID-19’s 1,343th death is a 90-year-old woman from Douglas County who tested positive on November 21 and died on December 18 at her residence. The presence of the underlying conditions is confirmed.

COVID-19’s 1,344th death in Oregon is a 78-year-old woman from Hood River County who tested positive on Dec. 6 and died Dec. 20 at her residence. It had basic conditions.

The 1,345th death in COVID-19 in Oregon is a 74-year-old man from Jackson County who tested positive on November 10 and died on December 18 at Rogue Valley Medical Center. It had basic conditions.

Death of COVID-19 in Oregon is a 60-year-old man from Jackson County who tested positive on November 27 and died on December 14 at his residence. It had basic conditions.

COVID-19 Death of Oregon is a 96-year-old woman from Lane County who tested positive on December 11 and died on December 16 at her residence. It had basic conditions.
