Actions

With 7 minutes played Allan Banegas almost gave the home side the lead with an unexpected free kick set up, but the visitors’ Edwin Solano was onto it, grabbing the would be breakthrough ball.

A very tactical start, with an anxious Olympia and his doomed and intelligent opponent, thus controlling the game. Solani’s defense sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 9 minutes gone, but FC’s finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper.

The game was played not to leave spaces, very deputy in the center of the field, without giving up. The monster stopped in the first half without complexes in front of an opponent who had a hard time generating football, making partnerships. Edwin Rodríguez was the only one who stood out.

“Machuca” Ramírez returned to the rage on the right, crossed for Bruno Volpi who after a failure of Johnny Leverón activated Kervin Arriaga just managed to reach the ball first.

A game without vertigo without too much emotion, a lot of friction. Maneatado Olimpia, no team football. Edwin Rodríguez struck a 30 meter free kick home 29 minutes into the match. His shot came in from the right hand side but managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.

Marathon played a very practical, very comfortable game, it had the place under control. He played with more heart than football. 0-0 at the end of the first half was a true reflection of this fact.

The goals came in the second half

In the second half, Albo coach Pedro Troglio admitted “Chama” Córdova and the German “Patón” Mejía. Within a minute of the complementary part, the changes paid off.

“Chama” filtered the left flank, connected with Eddie Hernandez who controlled with his right hand between central Techera and Moreira and then finished with his left foot and defeated goalkeeper Denovan Torres. It was 1-0, minute 46. Come on, that holiday.

From there, the game process changed, Olimpia felt strong, had more connections, more dynamics and mastery of the game. Cordova headed for 55, but Denovan excelled at avoiding a named goal.

In the 57th minute Jonathan Paz scored, but the referee canceled the goal for offside. Olympia imposed its conditions, football, criteria. And Marathon ?, Confused, scoring and scoring.

Josman Figueroa pulled a long shot towards Jerry Bengtson who took out Cristian Moreira with an elegant cut , outlined in front of the frame and with a subtle touch and placed, overtook Denovan Torres. It was 2-0, minute 71. Lord and Master the Lion, imposing, with much more character.

Edwin Rodríguez took the team on his shoulder, teamed up with Eddie and Bengtson and that made another procedure. Inspired by the local, he underwent a Marathon, suffered a lot, lost the ball and this reduced his prominence.

The left side created an opportunity for the visitors 89 minutes into the match, and Arriga wasn’t about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed.

Return
