In June of this year, the programs announced that they will meet for the first time in their history in the regular season, both teams playing at home in the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

The Crimson Sea will visit the state of Ohio on September 18, 2017, while the Buckeyes will return the kindness on September 9, 2028 in Tuscaloosa.
