Offensive help on the line is underway in this fake Chicago Bears sketch

The dust has settled in the NFL 2020 season and the fireworks are about to be lit in the free agency, and the Chicago Bears are already taking titles as one of the first teams mentioned in every commercial quarterback speculation.

General Manager Ryan Pace will shoot a quarterback trigger at some point and somehow this off-season, whether it’s trade, free agency or the 2021 NFL draft.

With the Bears holding the 20th overall selection, it is unlikely that any of the best quarterbacks will reach them in Round 1. And, although they are likely to enter the draft at the weekend with a new owner already on the list, this fake draft will assume that is not the case.

So what might their 2021 project look like when everything is said and done? Here is a scenario:

Round 1: ALIJAH VERA-TUCKER | OL | USC

If the Bears don’t go fullback in Round 1, the next logical priority is the offensive line, and Vera-Tucker makes the most sense of the offensive lines that could be available in 20th place overall.

Not only does he have immediate talent in the NFL, but he is also able to line up with the first team, either on offense or on guard. For a list like Chicago, which has weaknesses and vulnerabilities along the offensive line, Vera-Tucker’s positional versatility is a huge plus.
