Good news, readers: Oddworld: Soulstorm will be available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers on PlayStation 5 when it launches on April 6th. Even better news: the game launches in a little over a month, so Sony certainly can’t put it into another live stream. It felt like Groundhog Day with that title, didn’t it?
To clarify, the game launches on both PS5 and PS4, but only the next generation version will be free – it’s the same offer as Bugsnax, if you remember. Presenting the title on the PlayStation blog, Lorne Lanning explained: “Soulstorm is the second game in quintology. In it, you will explore on a massive cinematic scale and strange and wonderful 2.9D environments, full of stunning images. 2.9D allows you to venture into the world. Creates a larger scale and action. Add depth and immersion. ”
Also, just to reiterate: this game will be free in April. We still have no idea what March’s The PS Plus range shows.
