A nurse in Indonesia has been suspended after admitting to undressing her personal protective equipment to have sex in a toilet with a man infected with COVID-19, according to reports.
“It is true that there was a suspicious incident of a same-sex relationship between a health worker and a patient with COVID-19 at Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital,” said Asep Gunawan of the National Health Care Association.
He said the nurse “must follow legal processing,” the Indonesian expatriate reported.
The incident in Jakarta came to light when the patient bragged about his Twitter account on Friday, according to Sun from Great Britain.
He uploaded a screenshot of WhatsApp messages between the horny couple – including details about lubricants and the size of their genitals, the press reported.
The patient also posted a picture of the nurse’s PPE lying on the floor as the couple started it.
“This case has been transferred to the Jakarta Central Police. We assured the health worker to become a witness and we asked for additional information “, said Lieutenant Colonel Arh Herwin from the Regional Military Command.
“Meanwhile, the patient continues to be isolated at the Athlete’s House,” he added, referring to a former Olympic athletes’ accommodation village that had been turned into a coronavirus hospital.
The two men later received coronavirus tests. The patient was still found positive while the nurse gave negative results, officials said.
If convicted, men face up to 10 years in prison.
