I know that big, loud gaming phones aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but you should still appreciate it when a company performs all-in. That’s it just what Nubia did with the new Red Magic 6.

The basic model of Red Magic includes a huge, 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz and a resolution of 2400 x 1080, along with a Snapdragon 888 chip, 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, depending on your configuration Nubia has even increased the tactile sampling rate with multiple fingers from Red Magic to 360Hz to ensure that competitive mobile players receive the most responsive inputs possible, including touch-sensitive triggers on the edge of the phone.

Nubia calls the design in front of the Red Magic Mecha Sci-Fi, which sounds a bit correct. the phone seems to blend naturally into one Gundam episode. There is also a 64 MP main camera, enlarged by an ultra-wide 8 MP camera and a 2 MP macro camera, Nubia even throwing in an assortment of cyberpunk-inspired filters.

Nubia offers a number of software changes, such as the Tencent mobile game accelerator and Solar Core Engine, in addition to Red Magic’s RAM Boost and Frame Optimization 2.0 for outstanding performance. And just in case it’s not enough, Nubia said Red Magic 6 has a multidimensional cooling system that uses 13 temperature sensors, an air duct, thermal gel, graphene and more to prevent the phone from overheating. There is even a clip-on fan, which I think is too big, but I think you can nthey never have enough cooling.

Finally, the Red Magic 6 comes with a 5,050 mAh battery, a headphone jack and a 65-watt charge. But again, this is just the standard model. If you move to the Red Magic 6 Pro, you’ll get 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM, a faster cooling fan, 120-watt charge, and a bonus aluminum heating plate for, you guessed it, more cooling. Unfortunately, the overall capacity of the Red Magic 6 Pro decreases due to that board, leaving it with a 4,500 mAh power pack.

But the real Mechazord is the Red Magic 6 “Dao” edition, which has a transparent back, with an RGB fan and a huge memory of 18 GB, which is probably more for praise than any kind of tangible performance. There are also some more obvious Tencent brands, so don’t forget who contributed to the collaboration on the device.

TRed Magic 6 is priced between 3,800 yuan (about $ 585) for the base model and up to 6,600 yuan (about $ 1,015) for the fully loaded Dao edition with 18 GB RAM. But if you live outside of China and you are serious about checking one, you may want to wait another 10 days, as Nubia has a global launch event for Red Magic 6 scheduled for March 16th.
