Nintendo and SNK surprised Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite players with a new stealth version. Two days before Christmas and amid huge promotional sales for the Nintendo eShop, SNK launched Fury Fury: first contact for Switch and Switch Lite, via Nintendo eShop and right now, only via Nintendo eShop. In other words, the Switch and Switch Lite game, at least for now, is not available in any form at retail.
Starting today, all Nintendo Switch users can download the classic Neo Geo Pocket Color game that debuted in 1909 for just $ 8. As you probably know, this is not the first Neo Geo game released on Switch and Switch Lite by SNK and it probably won’t be the last, but it is the most recent.
In addition to $ 8, everything that downloads the game will need to have 147 MB of available space. That being said, on the Switch, the game not only supports all three game modes – handheld, TV and table – but supports up to two players. Unfortunately, however, language options are limited to English and Japanese only.
Below, you can check out a new trailer released by SNK to accompany stealth-drop:
As you probably know, Fury Fury: first contact it was the 10th and second to last entry in the series that debuted through Neo Geo Pocket Color, but has since been ported to a multitude of platforms. One of the less popular entries in the series is more or less a portable version of Real Bout 2, or at least vaguely based on the game that came before a year earlier.
