Nintendo Switch Leak reveals the original design of the console

A new leak from Nintendo has revealed the original Nintendo Switch design, which bears no resemblance to the final product launched in 2017 and has been the best-selling console in the world since then. 2020 has been a bad year for Nintendo in terms of security, with leaks flying from Nintendo archives like crazy. The latest of these leaks reveals an early and original design for what would become Switch and possibly Switch Lite. Interestingly, not only does the original design not look like the final product, but it is actually closer to the Switch Lite than the traditional Switch.

As you can see below, the original design of the console has a screen that extends beyond the analog sticks in a way that is very reminiscent of a mobile phone display. In fact, the console is mostly just the screen, with three small buttons at the bottom that prevent the front from being entirely a means of display.

If the design looks familiar, it’s because it looks almost exactly like a “leaked” image of the console that made the rounds before it was revealed, which was eventually canceled as a prank.

According to leaked documents, the Nintendo Switch will initially support 3D functionality and will be compatible with the Nintendo 3DS. Apparently, Nintendo is looking at using a 480p screen. Fortunately, he decided against this and made the 720p screen.

Of course, take all this – the pictures and the information – with a grain of salt, since all this is information about the spilled variety. At the time of publication, Nintendo did not comment on this leak in any way and it is unlikely to change. However, if it does, we will be sure to update the story with everything that is provided.
