Nintendo seems to have already closed the Super Mario Maker bookmarks site

When Mario turns 35 next week, online services for Super Mario Maker and on the Wii U it ends – meaning players will no longer be able to upload their own courses.

As you may have noticed, the Super Mario Maker Bookmark site also closed on March 31st. It seems that Nintendo pulled the web service ahead of schedule.

Super Mario Maker fan and Nintendo Life reader Nintendo_Thumb notes how “the website went down 4 days earlier” and has been up and running for at least March 26th. The website says that “the service is currently unavailable” and now shows a 503 error.

So, if you are hoping to visit the site one last time before it is finished, it seems to you could not to be lucky. Here is the full list of affected Super Mario Maker services:

Services that will end (Super Mario Maker – Wii U)

  • Possibility to upload courses in Super Mario Maker for Wii U
  • Super Mario Maker Bookmark site
    Due to this, the following features of the Software World Course will also become unavailable:
    • Updating the ranking of appreciated courses
    • Search for marked courses
